25  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:

 

DEPUTATION

 

1. Mr. Amir Jesse Ali made a deputation regarding a request for traffic Lights on 14th Avenue between Redkey Drive and Hoake Road, Town of Markham.  Received and referred to Staff for a report.

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

2. Mayor Robert Grossi extended thanks and congratulations to Staff regarding the October 11, 2005 official opening of the new Sutton Water Pollution Control Plan in the Town of Georgina.  This project earned the Ontario Public Works Association prestigious Project of the Year Award in the Environment category.

 

3. In accordance with published advertisements, the following matters were placed before the Committee to facilitate the hearing of any person who wished to speak to the matters, if any, in compliance with the Municipal Act, 2001.  No person having appeared, the matters were Received.

 

(1) STOPPING UP AND CLOSING A PORTION OF BATHURST STREET (Y.R. 38), TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY

 

(a) The stopping up and closing of parts of Bathurst Street (Y.R. 38) in the Town of East Gwillimbury in The Regional Municipality of York (geographic Township of East Gwillimbury in the County of York) being part of the original road allowance between the geographic Townships of King (Old Survey) and East Gwillimbury designated as Part 5, Plan 65R25062.

 

(b) The sale of the above-noted lands.

 

(2) STOPPING UP AND CLOSING A PORTION OF GREEN LANE EAST (Y.R. 19) FORMERLY HERALD ROAD/HAROLD ROAD, TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY

 

(a) The stopping up and closing of that part of Green Lane East (Y.R. 19) formerly Herald Road/Harold Road, in the Town of East Gwillimbury in The Regional Municipality of York (geographic Township of East Gwillimbury in the County of York) being part of the road allowance between Lots 5 and 6, Concession 3 designated as Part 4 on Plan 65R21125.

 

(b) The sale of the above-noted lands.

 

(3) STOPPING UP AND CLOSING A PORTION OF BATHURST STREET (Y.R. 38), TOWNSHIP OF KING

 

(a) The stopping up and closing of parts of Bathurst Street (Y.R. 38), in the Township of King in The Regional Municipality of York (geographic Township of King in the County of York) more particularly described as follows:

 

Firstly: Part of Lots 3 and 4, Concession 2 Old Survey designated as Part 1 on Plan 65R25062; Secondly: Part of Lots 3, 4 and 5, Concession 2 Old Survey designated as Part 2, Plan 65R25062; Thirdly: Part of the original road allowance between the geographic Townships of King (Old Survey) and East Gwillimbury designated as Part 3, Plan 65R25062 and Part 3, Plan 65R25063; and Fourthly: Part of Lot 3, Concession 2 Old Survey designated as Parts 1 and 2, Plan 65R25063.

 

            (b) The sale of the above-noted lands.

 

(4) STOPPING UP AND CLOSING A PORTION OF LLOYDTOWN/AURORA ROAD (Y.R. 16), TOWNSHIP OF KING

 

(a) The stopping up and closing of that part of Lloydtown/Aurora Road (Y.R. 16), in the Township of King in The Regional Municipality of York (geographic Township of King in the County of York) more particularly described as follows:

 

Firstly: Part of 10' widening on Registered Plan 479 and part of the S.E. � Lot 28, Concession 5 and part of the N. � Lot 28, Concession 5 designated as Part 1, Plan 65R27585; Secondly: Part of the S.E. � Lot

28, Concession 5 designated as Part 2, Plan 65R27585; Thirdly: Part of 10' widening on Registered Plan 479 and part of the S.E. � Lot 28, Concession 5 designated as Part 3, Plan 65R27585; Fourthly: Part of the

S.E. � Lot 28, Concession 5 designated as Part 4, Plan 65R27585; and Fifthly: part of the S.E. � Lot 28, Concession 5 and part of the N. � Lot 28, Concession 5 designated as Parts 6 and 7, Plan 65R27585.

 

(b) The sale of the above-noted lands.

 

(5) STOPPING UP AND CLOSING A PORTION OF BATHURST STREET (Y.R. 38), TOWN OF NEWMARKET

 

(a) The stopping up and closing of parts of Bathurst Street (Y.R. 38), in the Town of Newmarket in The Regional Municipality of York (geographic Township of East Gwillimbury in the County of York) being part of the original road allowance between the geographic Townships of King (Old Survey) and East Gwillimbury designated as Part 4, Plan 65R25062 and Part 4, Plan 65R25063.

 

(b) The sale of the above-noted lands.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

Committee resolved into Private Session at 11:00 a.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed in open session at 11:04 a.m. with no report.
