The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:
PRESENTATIONS
1. The Committee received the presentation by Bruce Macgregor, Commissioner of Transportation and Works, regarding '2007 Business Plan and Budget for the Transportation and Works Department � Roads and Water and Wastewater Operating and Capital Budgets' and recommended as follows:
A prioritized list of the proposed reductions set out in the Commissioner's presentation be submitted to the April 5, 2007 meeting of the Finance and Administration Committee for consideration in the context of proposed reductions to be submitted by other Departments.

6. In public session, the Committee considered and recommended for adoption a private report that is subject to solicitor and client privilege.
OTHER BUSINESS
7. The Commissioner of Transportation and Works distributed a memorandum dated March 7, 2007 [3.1MB] and the 2006 YDSS Annual Report on Compliance with the Minister's Conditions, in furtherance to a requirement issued by the Ministry of the Environment in October, 2004. Received.
8. The Commissioner of Transportation and Works was requested to ensure that Environmental Assessment and other public meetings not be scheduled in conflict with the scheduled meetings of local councils, and that he advise the Committee on whether a policy with respect to the scheduling of such meetings is in place.
The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 10:55 a.m.
