9 UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS
The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee with the following action:
 
PRESENTATIONS
 
1. The following presentations were made to Committee: Progress Report; Mary-Frances Turner, Executive Co-ordinator, Rapid Transit Plan; Funding Agreements; Mary-Frances Turner, Executive Co-ordinator and Paul May, Director, Infrastructure Planning; Quick Start Update, Sam Zimmerman, York Consortium; Amended and Restated Agreement - Year Two, Mary-Frances Turner, Executive Co-ordinator; Communications Strategy, Sallye Perrin, York Consortium; Federal Provincial Business Plan Update and Final Network Configuration Technical Report, Mary-Frances Turner, Executive Co-ordinator; Highway 7 Environmental Assessment, Paul May, Director and Lynton Erskine, York Consortium; Spadina Subway Extension Environmental Assessment, Paul May, Director; and Next Steps, Mary-Frances Turner, Executive Co-ordinator. OTHER BUSINESS
 
2. Committee directed staff to schedule a meeting with Committee members for further discussions regarding the Communications Strategy and other matters.
 
3. Committee directed staff to forward to each of the Clerks of the Towns of Aurora, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill and the City of Vaughan, for distribution to their Council members, prior to the public meetings scheduled for September 18, 19 and 20, 2003, the information relating to the results of the evaluation of alignment alternatives for the Highway 7 Corridor and Vaughan North-South Link Environmental Assessment.
 
PRIVATE SESSION
 
4. Committee resolved into Private Session at 1:40 p.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed in Open Session at 2:10 p.m. with no report.
 
The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee adjourned at 2:12 p.m.
