14 UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action:

DEPUTATIONS

1. * Mr. John Singleton, Carillion-Aecon Joint Venture, made a deputation regarding RFP No. P-03-04, York-Peel Feedermain. Overhead material used in his deputation is on file in the Office of the Regional Clerk.

* Lloyd Ferguson, General Manager, Dufferin Construction Company, made a deputation regarding RFP No. P-03-04, York-Peel Feedermain.

At 9:27 a.m. the Committee resolved into Private Session and resumed in Open Session at 10:27 a.m. with no report.

The Finance and Administration Committee received the forgoing deputations and confirms to Regional Council that the evaluation process followed in assessing the proposals was deemed appropriate, fair and consistent, that the Region will be proceeding with the contract, and that staff are directed to ensure that all check and balances in the contract are followed.

Received and referred to legal staff for a report back to the next meeting of the Committee.

8. Lloyd Ferguson, General Manager, Dufferin Construction Company, August 29, 2003, regarding P-03-04, York-Peel Feedermain, and requesting deputant status. Received and deputant status granted.
