10  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:

 

PRESENTATION

 

1. Kees Schipper, Commissioner of Transportation and Works presented the 2005 Business Plan and Budget for the Transportation and Works Department -Water and Wastewater Services, Operating Rate Budget.  Committee received the presentation and recommended that the 2005 Business Plan and Budget for the Transportation and Works Department -Water and Wastewater Services, Operating Rate Budget be approved as submitted, and forwarded to the January 6, 2005 Finance and Administration Committee meeting.

 

COMMUNICATION

2. Chris Somerville, Clerk, Township of King, dated November 18, 2004, regarding 'Request for Transportation Study Regarding King Township Traffic Concerns'.  Received and referred to Staff for report.

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

3. Mayor M. Di Biase distributed a resolution dated November 29, 2004 with respect to the establishment of taxi stands in the vicinity of major intersections where York Region Transit service may not be available to public transit users who wish to travel to York Region.  Committee referred the matter to Staff for a comprehensive report to a future Transportation and Works Committee meeting.

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

4. Committee resolved into Private Session at 9:46 a.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed at 9:49 a.m. with no report.

 

The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
