The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:

 

PRESENTATIONS

 

1. Sandra Cartwright, Commissioner of Finance and Kees Schipper, Commissioner of Transportation and Works presented the 2005 Capital Budget Business Plan for the Transportation and Works Department - Roads Transportation, Solid Waste Management and Water and Wastewater.  Committee received the presentations and recommended that the 2005 Capital Budget Business Plan for the Transportation and Works Department - Roads Transportation, Solid Waste Management, and Water and Wastewater be approved as submitted, and forwarded to the December 2, 2004 Finance and Administration Committee meeting.

 

2. Paul Jankowski, Director, Infrastructure Design & Construction made a presentation regarding '16th Avenue and 19th Avenue Sewer Projects - Status Update'  Received.

 

3. Debbie Korolnek, Director, Water and Wastewater, made a presentation regarding 'Development of the Dynamic Model and Sewage Capacities Update'.  Received.

 

4. Andy Campbell, Director, Solid Waste Management made a presentation regarding 'Operational Impact of New Michigan Waste Legislation'.  Received.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

5. Ms Pat Laverock, resident, Town of Georgina, October 22, 2004, forwarding letter of thanks to Calvin Mollett, Operations Technologist, Roads Transportation and his colleagues for their hard work related to the Woodbine/Baseline & Old Homestead Roads intersections in the Town of Georgina.  Received and that congratulations be extended to staff.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

6. Committee resolved into Private Session at 11:45 a.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed at 12:14 a.m. with no report.

 

 

The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
