14  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:

 

1. Regional Councillor B. O'Donnell was elected Chair and Mayor William F. Bell was elected Vice Chair of the Transportation and Works Committee for 2006.  Mayor William F. Bell's election is conditional upon his acceptance due to his absence.

5. Linda D. Jackson, Regional Councillor, City of Vaughan, dated January 5, 2006, regarding 'Noise Policy Report'.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

6. Mayor M. Di Biase requested that Staff provide a report regarding the C. P. Railway bridge on McKenzie Street, City of Vaughan as the residents have safety concerns relating to the deteriorated condition of the embankment.  Received and referred to Staff for report.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

7. Committee resolved into Private Session at 10:40 a.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed in open session at 10:44 a.m. with no report.

 

 

The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
