2. John D. Leach, Director of Customer and Legislative Services/Town Clerk, Town of Aurora, dated May 1, 2013, regarding 'Bell Canada Communications Tower at 14820 Bathurst Street, King Township'  Received.

4. Donna L. McLarty, Town Clerk, Town of Richmond Hill, dated May 6, 2013 regarding 'York Region's Revised Community Safety Zone Policy and Potential Impact'  Received and advise the Council of the Town of Richmond Hill that a comprehensive report will be brought forward in the future to include at least one year's worth of data.

 

5. D. Bowen, Regional Clerk/Director of Legislative Services, Durham Region, dated May 16, 2013 regarding 'Approval to Commence Expropriation Proceedings - Reconstruction of Umphrey and Udora Bridges'  Received and support the recommendations from Durham Region.

 

6. Mary Masse, Clerk, Town of Lakeshore, dated May 21, 2013 regarding '400 Series Highways - Repairs and Maintenance to Overpasses'  Received.

 

7. Kathryn Smyth, Clerk, Township of King, dated May 28, 2013 regarding 'Nobleton Locations: Municipal Streetscape Partnership Program 2014 Funding Application'  Received and referred to staff.

 

8. Gary McNeil, President, GO Transit, dated May 24, 2013 regarding '2013 Seasonal Barrie Weekend GO Train Service'  Received and request that the pilot project incorporate weekend service all year round.

9. Memorandum from Commissioner Llewellyn-Thomas and attached April 2013 Monthly Transit/Viva Ridership Statistics  Received.

 

Pickering Airport/Rouge Park

 

10. Mayor Emmerson indicated his disappointment that, at the recent media event for the Pickering Airport and Rouge Park, there was no mention of any benefits or impacts on York Region.

 

 

11  PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:52 a.m. to consider the following:

 

1. Private Report of the Regional Solicitor � Cost Recovery of Damages, Highway 427 Pavement - Litigation

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 12 p.m. and recommended the recommendations in the private report be adopted.

 

 

The Transportation Services Committee meeting adjourned at 12:01 p.m.
