OTHER BUSINESS

 

4. Mayor Jackson circulated a copy of a Resolution adopted by the Council of the City of Vaughan at its meeting on June 11, 2007 in support of bus rapid transit on Yonge Street and the Yonge Street Subway Extension to the Richmond Hill (Langstaff) Centre. Received. (A copy of the Vaughan Council Resolution dated June 11, 2007 is attached to this report.)

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

5. The Committee resolved into private session at 10:58 a.m. to consider matters relating to land acquisition and solicitor-client privilege regarding the following reports:

 

1. Viva Phase 2 Preliminary Engineering and Land Acquisition Programme Report. (Please refer to Clause 6.)

 

2. Expropriation of Land, Yonge Street, City of Vaughan and Town of Markham. (Please refer to Clause 7.)

 

The Committee convened in public session with no report out at 11:29 a.m. and immediately recessed in order to convene the Transit Committee. The Transit Committee then recessed and the Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee meeting resumed at 11:31 a.m.

 

 

The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee adjourned at 11:32 a.m.
