The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee with the following action:

 

 

ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

1. The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee elected Regional Chair Fisch as Chair and Mayor Jackson as Vice-Chair of the Committee for the year 2009.

2. V. Rodo, General Secretary, Toronto Transit Commission, December 18, 2008, regarding 'Yonge Subway Extension � Final Report on Transit Project Assessment Process and Future Actions'. Received.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 12:23 p.m. to consider the following:

 

3. Private Report of the Commissioner of Corporate Services, January 13, 2009, Expropriation of Land, Highway 7, Viva Project 90773, Town of Markham and Town of Richmond Hill � Property Acquisition.

 

4. Private Report of the Commissioner of Corporate Services, January 5, 2009, Expropriation of Land, Davis Drive, Viva Project 90760, Town of Newmarket � Property Acquisition.

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 12:37 p.m. with no report out.  Its recommendations on the above matters will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its January 22, 2009 Private Session.

 

 

The Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee adjourned at 12:38 p.m.
