1. Presentation by Jason Ezer, Planner, Community Planning Branch, regarding Building Heights in Centres and Corridors Received.
COMMUNICATIONS

(Regional Councillor Di Biase declared an interest in Clause 7.2 as his children have a part interest in a parcel of land within Block 27 which was purchased by his maternal grandfather. Regional Councillor Di Biase did not participate in the consideration, discussion or vote on this item.)

Valerie Shuttleworth, Director, Long Range Planning, dated June 13, 2012, regarding Status Update Report 6 on Appeals of the York Region Official Plan 2010, ROPA 1 -- Town of East Gwillimbury Urban Expansion, ROPA 2 -- City of Vaughan Urban Expansion and ROPA 3 -- Town of Markham Urban Expansion Received.
OTHER BUSINESS
3. Dino Basso, Executive Director, Corporate and Strategic Planning introduced summer students and Valerie Shuttleworth as the new Director of Long Range Planning.
8 PRIVATE SESSION
The Committee resolved into private session at 3:43 p.m. to consider the following:
1. Memorandum from Joy Hulton, Regional Solicitor, dated June 13, 2012, regarding Ontario Municipal Board Decision -- Bramalea City Centre -- Solicitor/Client Privilege
2. Vaughan Official Plan Update/Appeals -- Litigation
The Committee resumed in public session at 5:40 p.m.
(Regional Councillor Di Biase declared an interest in part of the update for Item 2 as that portion of the update related to land supply in Vaughan in an area where his children have a part interest in a parcel of land within Block 27 which was purchased by his maternal grandfather. Regional Councillor Di Biase left the meeting and did not participate in the consideration, discussion or vote on this item.)
Committee's recommendations on Item 1 will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its June 28, 2012, Private Session and Item 2 was received.
The Planning and Economic Development Committee adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
