The Planning and Economic Development Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Planning and Economic Development Committee with the following action:
DEPUTATION

1. Annabel Slaight, Vice Chair, Alliance for a Better Georgina (ABG), January 20, 2004, made a deputation regarding York Region's continuing participation as a partner with the ABG and the Town of georgina in the next phase of Georgina's Community mapping project.
Committee recommends that the deputation be received and that staff work with the ABG and report back with a recommendation as to how the Region can assist the ABG in an amount up to $10,000.
PRESENTATIONS
2. Bryan Tuckey, Commissioner of Planning and Development Services and Kelly Vandette, Business Administrator, presented the 2004 Business Plan and Budget for the Planning and Development Services Department.
Committee recommends that the presentation by Bryan Tuckey, Commissioner of Planning and Development Services, be received and that the 2004 Business Plan and Budget for the Planning and Development Services Department be approved and forwarded to the March 4, 2004 Finance and Administration Committee meeting for inclusion in the 2004 consolidated Regional Business Plan and Budget.
3. Don Eastwood, Director, Economic Development Strategy, provided an update regarding the York Region Biotechnology Cluster. (A copy of the slide presentation is on file in the Office of the Regional Clerk.) Received.
4. Sean Hertel, Planner, Community Planning, provided an update and next steps regarding the Draft Centres and Corridors ROPA. (A copy of the slide presentation is on file in the Office of the Regional Clerk.) Received.
