8 UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS
 
The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action:
 
PRESENTATIONS
 
2006 Budget
1. Sandra Cartwright, Commissioner of Finance and Tony Haddad, Director, Business Planning and Budgets, regarding the 2006 Budget. Received and that Council hold a Workshop regarding the 2006 Budget on October 27, 2005, immediately following the Council meeting.
Information Technology Award
2. Presentation from Sandra Cartwright to Information Technology Services staff, Vito Palmeri and Michael Berman, regarding the Region receiving a Diamond Award at the recent Showcase Ontario event to highlight the Region's leadership and innovation in applying information technology solutions, in particular the "Anywhere e-Desktop", to enhance the effectiveness of its businesses. Received.

Police Services Board Protocol for Information Sharing
3. Connie Phillipson, Executive Director, The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board, September 8, 2005, forwarding the recommendations adopted at its meeting on August 31, 2005 regarding the Protocol for the Sharing of Information". Received.
GTA Pooling
4. Cheri Cowan, Town Clerk, Town of Caledon, September 20, 2005, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Council of the Town of Caledon at its meeting on September 20, 2005, regarding GTA Pooling. Received.
OTHER BUSINESS
The Committee resolved into Private Session at 10:25 a.m. to consider certain matters relating to solicitor-client privilege and the security of municipal property and reconvened in Open Session at 11:30 a.m. after reporting out on the matter relating to Bill 206, Ontario Municipal Employees' Retirement System Act (See Clause No. 7 above.)

9. YORK REGION'S REVIEW OF THE BELLAMY REPORT

 
The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned at 11:31 a.m.
