1. Sybil Fernandes, Deputy City Clerk, City of Vaughan, February 1, 2008, forwarding a report adopted by the Council of the City of Vaughan at its meeting on January 28, 2008, regarding the One Cent Now! Campaign. Received.

 

2. Sybil Fernandes, Deputy City Clerk, City of Vaughan, February 15, 2008, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Council of the City of Vaughan at its meeting on February 11, 2008, regarding Tax-Free Municipal Bonds. Received and referred to the Commissioner of Finance for a report.

 

3. Gary Carr, Regional Chair, The Regional Municipality of Halton, February 8, 2008, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Halton at its meeting on February 6, 2008, regarding the 2008 Budget Process � GO Transit. Received and endorsed, with a copy of Council's decision to be forwarded to the Minister of Transportation, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Minister of Finance.

 

4. Hazel McCallion, Mayor, City of Mississauga, February 8, 2008, forwarding a resolution adopted by the City of Mississauga at its meeting on January 30, 2008, regarding the Dedicated Gas Tax Funds for Public Transportation Program. Received and endorsed, with a copy of Council's decision to be forwarded to the Minister of Transportation, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Minister of Finance.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance

 

1. The Committee requested that staff provide a report to its next meeting reviewing the Region's position on the City of Toronto's approach to financial incentives.
