The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action:

 

1. Consideration of a confidential report relating to the matter of the King City sewer project was deferred to the January 12, 2006 meeting of the Committee.

2. Henry R. Verbruggen, on behalf of the Township of King Chamber of Commerce, regarding the King City Sewer project and requesting deputant status.  Received and referred to the January 12, 2006 meeting of the Committee.

 

3. Mayor W. Donald Cousens, Town of Markham, October 24, 2005, forwarding a letter from Charles Sutherland, Development Consultant for the Old Kennedy Co-Operative Development Corporation, 90 � 108 Old Kennedy Road. Referred to the Commissioner of Finance for a report.

 

4. Connie Phillipson, Executive Director, The Regional Municipality of York Police Services Board, September 8, 2005, forwarding the recommendations adopted at its meeting on August 31, 2005 requesting that Council review and approve the amended "Protocol for the Sharing of Information". Received and approved.

 

5. Liz Gibson, Deputy Clerk, Town of Newmarket, November 15, 2005, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Town of Newmarket at its meeting on November 14, 2005, regarding the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Act. Received.

 

6. B. Panizza, Director of Corporate Services/Town Clerk, Town of Aurora, November 9, 2005, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Town of Aurora at its meeting on November 8, 2005, regarding the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System Act, Bill 206. Received.

 

7. Chris Somerville, Clerk, Township of King, November 10, 2005, forwarding a resolution adopted by the Township of King at its meeting on October 17, 2005, regarding Bill 123, Transparency in Public Matters Act, 2005. Received.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

8. The Committee recessed at 11:30 a.m. so that Members could participate in ceremonies recognizing World Aids Day and reconvened at 12:35 p.m.

 

9. The Committee resolved into Private Session at 1:27 p.m. to discuss a legal matter and reconvened in Public Session at 1:29 p.m. with no report out.

 

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned at 1:30 p.m.
