13  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Transportation and Works Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transportation and Works Committee with the following action:

 

 

PRESENTATION

 

1. The presentation by Bruce Macgregor, Commissioner of Transportation and Works entitled "2006 Business Plan and Budget, Transportation and Works Department, Overview and Roads, Solid Waste, Water & Wastewater Budget be received;

 

The Committee referred the Solid Waste budget to the November 9, 2005 Solid Waste Management Committee; and

 

The Roads and Water & Wastewater budgets be recommended for adoption with the proposed reductions of low priority Growth and Enhancement items to the December 1, 2005 Finance and Administration Committee meeting.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

2. Chair William F. Bell welcomed Ms Sharon McCready and advised she would be in attendance for "Take Our Kids to Work Day 2005" as a guest of Regional Councillor Tony Van Bynen.

 

 

The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
