1. J.D. Leach, City Clerk, City of Vaughan, dated September 29, 2006, regarding 'Weston Road Speed Limit'.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

 

2. Mayor Sue Sherban raised the issue of the placement of super mail boxes on regional roads.  She raised concerns regarding proper lane access, cleaning, safety and security.  Staff be requested to provide a report to include a resolution to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canada Post regarding the placement of super mail boxes on regional roads.

 

3. Regional Chair Bill Fisch, on behalf of all the members of the Transportation and Works Committee, extended congratulations and thanks to Chair Bill O'Donnell and Vice-Chair William F. Bell on their forthcoming retirement and for their many years of dedicated service to the Transportation and Works Committee.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

4. Committee resolved into Private Session at 9:39 a.m. to consider legal matters and resumed in open session at 9:49 a.m. with no report.

 

 

The Transportation and Works Committee adjourned at 9:50 a.m.
