OTHER BUSINESS

 

7. Memo from Commissioner Llewellyn-Thomas and attached January 2011 Monthly Ridership Statistics  Received and requested staff to break out the information by municipality.

 

8. Regional Councillor Spatafora introduced Ms. Terry Ricketts, the new Director of Environmental Services for the Town of Richmond Hill.

 

9. The Committee supports:  1) the funding allocated for the positions of a Superintendent - Pavement Marking and two Maintenance Workers - Nuisance Signs being reinstated in the Transportation Services Department's 2011 Operating Budget; and 2) that the Commissioner of Transportation Services report to the Committee by June 2011 on the three proposed positions and delivery mechanisms for pavement marking and nuisance sign removal.

The Transportation Services Committee adjourned at 12:26 p.m.
