The Transit Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transit Committee with the following action:
OTHER BUSINESS
1. Monthly Ridership Statistics. Received.
(The monthly ridership statistics were included as an attachment in the agenda for the May 14, 2009 Committee meeting).
2. Regional Councillor Frustaglio advised the Committee that Don Gordon, General Manager of York Region Transit, is retiring and thanked Mr. Gordon, on behalf of the Region and the Transit Committee, for his excellent leadership and hard work since joining the Region in 2000 and for the pivotal role he undertook in the amalgamation of the municipal transit services in York Region.
PRIVATE SESSION
The Committee resolved into private session at 12:26 p.m. to consider the following:
1.
The Committee resumed in public session at 12:55 p.m. with no report out. The Committee's recommendation on the above matter will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its May 21, 2009 Private Session.
The Transit Committee adjourned its meeting at 12:56 p.m.
