COMMUNICATION

1. Major Ivan Rowsell, Director of Chaplaincy for C & JS, The Salvation Army, Ontario Central Division, Correctional and Justice Services, June 14th, 2006, requesting a deputation with respect to the matter of Viva issuing vouchers to allow people to travel from Newmarket to Toronto.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

1. Irene McNeil, Manager, Service Planning presented the updated YRT\Viva Ridership Summary.  Received.

 

2. Mary Lou Johnston, Manager, Marketing and Customer Services presented the updated YRT Conventional and Specialized Call Centre Statistics.  Received.

 

3. Regional Councillor Linda Jackson submitted a letter dated September 12, 2006 from Astro Taxi, Scarborough regarding service provider for York Region Mobililty Plus service.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

3. Regional Councillor Linda Jackson submitted a petition addressed the the Mayor, City of Vaughan from a number of Vaughan residents regarding York Region Mobililty Plus service.  Received and referred to Staff for report.

 

 

The Transit Committee adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
