The Transit Committee began its meeting at 11:29 a.m. on June 14, 2007 and immediately recessed to allow for the completion of the Rapid Transit Public/Private Partnership Steering Committee meeting.

 

The Transit Committee resumed its meeting at 11:40 a.m.

1.  John Perry, National Quality Institute, April 11, 2007, regarding 'National Quality Institute (NQI) Progressive Excellence Program (NQI-PEP) Level One Certification'.  Received.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

2. Monthly Ridership Statistics.  Received.

 

3. Deputation by Dennis Seeley, Chairperson, Transit Committee, Markham Fair, regarding 'York Region Transit Charter Service Requests for Special and Community Events'.   Received.  Staff to continue to work with the Markham Fair representatives to investigate other options outside of the Charter Policy.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 12:59 p.m. to consider the following matter:

 

4. Private Report of the General Manager, Transit and Commissioner of Corporate Services

(Bus Storage and Maintenance Facility Strategy - Update) - Acquisition of Property.

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 1:22 p.m. with no report out.

 

 

The Transit Committee adjourned at 1:23 p.m.
