11-14 Approval of Minutes
It was moved by Mayor Van Bynen that the Board confirm the Minutes of the March 3, 2011 meeting of the Board of Directors of York Region Rapid Transit Corporation, which was Carried.

11-15 Project Status Report � Q1
Ms. J. Bovair, Acting Chief Financial Officer, provided an update on procurement and the status of funding agreements. There was also information on the recent opening of the Warden Station.
A Report of the President, dated April 18, 2011, was presented recommending that:
1. The attached Project Status Quarterly Report � 2011-Q1-of the Chief Financial Officer (Acting) be received for information
It was moved by Mayor Bevilacqua that the presentation be received and the foregoing recommendations be adopted, which was Carried.
11-16 VivaNext 2011 Communication Plan
Mr. D. Albers, Chief Communications Officer, presented an overview of the communications plan.
A report of the President, dated April 18, 2011, was presented recommending that:
1. The Board endorse the VivaNext 2011 Communication Plan.
It was moved by Mayor Scarpitti that the presentation be received and the foregoing recommendation be adopted, which was Carried.
A report of the President, dated April 19, 2011 was presented recommending that:
1. The Board endorse the following viva station names:
� Warden Avenue

� Commerce Street

2. The Board endorse the name for the subway station at
It was moved by Mayor Barrow that the foregoing recommendations be adopted, which was Carried.
11-18 Design Build Award and Agreement for D1 Main Rapid Transit Project
Ms. J. Vanderburgh, Corporate Secretary and Solicitor, presented an overview.
A report of the President, dated April 29, 2011 was presented recommending that:
1. Subject to York Consortium 2002's successful completion of the cost confidence process in respect of the design and construction of the Davis Drive (D1) rapidway (from Yonge Street to Highway 404, Newmarket) rapid transit project (the "D1 Project"), and subject to Metrolinx's written notice to the Corporation that it approves the award of the contract to York Consortium 2002:
(a) The President be authorized to award the contract to York Consortium 2002; and
(b) The Corporation be authorized, if requested by Metrolinx, to enter into the Design Build Agreement for the D1 Project.
2. The Chief Executive Officer and the President be authorized to execute the said Agreement on behalf of the Corporation in the form approved by Metrolinx, subject to the prior review of the Corporation's Solicitor.
3. If York Consortium 2002 is not awarded the contract pursuant to the cost confidence process for the D1 Project, the President be authorized to issue a request for proposals for the design and construction of the D1 Project, subject to Metrolinx's approval as to the procurement process, including a determination of whether York Consortium 2002 will be permitted to submit a proposal in response to the request for proposals.
It was moved by Mayor Van Bynen that the presentation be received and the foregoing recommendations be adopted, which was Carried.

Mr. D. Clark, Design Chief, Infrastructure and Development, presented a design proposal for the connection at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre as well as the schedule for the H2 project.
It was moved by Mayor Scarpitti that the presentation be received, which was Carried.
11-20 Private Session
The Board resolved into private session from 12:59 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
There being no further business, the Board adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
