The Planning and Economic Development Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Planning and Economic Development Committee with the following action:

 

COMMUNICATION

1. Gary Schneider, Manager, Transmission Approvals, Hydro One Networks Inc., April 5, 2004, regarding a Hydro One Transmission Line Project in York Region.

 

Received and referred to staff for review and comment on the implications and impact of this project on the Region's policies and on the communities the transmission line will pass through. 

 

Committee also recommended that Hydro One Networks Inc. be requested to make presentations regarding this project to the Councils of the affected local municipalities.

 

OTHER BUSINESS

2. The Economic Strategy Workshop was held following the Committee meeting.

 

The Planning and Economic Development Committee adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
