The Planning and Economic Development Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Planning and Economic Development Committee with the following action:
PRESENTATIONS
1. Gord Weeden, Chair, and Lewis Yeager, General Manager, Rouge Park Alliance, regarding the Rouge Park � Vision. Received and referred to staff to examine ways to strengthen the relationship between the Region and the Alliance.
COMMUNICATIONS

2. Resolution of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, January 9, 2006, regarding Bill 51. Received.
3. Resolution of the Town of The Blue Mountains, January 16, 2006, regarding Bill 51. Received.
4. Laurel C. Broten, Minister of the Environment, February 22, 2006, regarding York Region's State of the Environment Report 2005 titled "Focus on Our Environment". Received.
OTHER BUSINESS
5. North Pickering Seaton Plan Modifications
Committee was advised that staff received a request from the Province for comments relating to the Seaton Plan modifications. Due to the short timeframe to respond, the Commissioner provided a briefing to Committee on the comments to be forwarded to the Province and advised that a staff report would be coming to a future Planning and Economic Development Committee meeting. Received.
6. Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority Award
A plaque to salute the watershed municipalities of The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority was awarded to the Region acknowledging the Region's dedication to the protection and improvement in health and quality of Lake Simcoe and its watershed. Received.
