The Planning and Economic Development Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Planning and Economic Development Committee with the following action:
ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR
1. The Planning and Economic Development Committee elected Regional Councillor Taylor as Chair and Regional Councillor Di Biase as Vice-Chair for the year 2012.

COMMUNICATIONS
Regional Councillor Di Biase declared an interest in Clause 9.4 as his children have a part interest in a parcel of land within Block 27 which was purchased by his maternal grandfather in the 1960's. Regional Councillor Di Biase did not participate in the consideration, discussion of, or vote for this item.

John Waller, Director, Long Range and Strategic Planning, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, dated January 11, 2012 regarding 'Status Update Report 4 on Appeals of the York Region Official Plan 2010, ROPA 1 -Town of East Gwillimbury Urban Expansion, ROPA 2- City of Vaughan Urban Expansion and ROPA 3- Town of Markham Urban Expansion'. Received and referred to item 1 of the Private Session.

Committee received items 1 and 5 and the Committee's recommendations on items 2 and 3 will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its January 26, 2012 Private Session. Item 4 was reported out in Clause 7 of this Committee report.
