7  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Planning and Economic Development Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Planning and Economic Development Committee with the following action:

 

ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

1. Mayor Young was elected Chair and Regional Councillor Scarpitti was elected Vice Chair of the Planning and Economic Development Committee for 2006.

 

 

PRESENTATION

 

2. Planning Act Changes � Bill 51

 

Barbara Jeffrey, Principal Planner, Long Range and Strategic Planning, provided an update regarding Bill 51, The Planning and Conservation Land Statute Law Amendment Act, 2005. The Committee was advised that a report would be brought forward to the next meeting. Received.

 

 

The Planning and Economic Development Committee adjourned at 2:33 p.m.
