Received.2. Sandra Vessel, Emergency Planning Specialist, regarding 'Pandemic Flu Planning'. Received.
3. Commissioner of Health Services to the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of State (Public Health) dated November 23, 2004 regarding 'Guidelines for Electricity Corridors'. Received.4. The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of State (Public Health), received February 22, 2005, regarding 'electric and magnetic fields (EMF's)'. Received.5. Commissioner of Health Services to the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of State (Public Health) dated July 7, 2005, regarding 'Response to Your February letter re: Electro-Magnetic Fields'. Niagara Region resolution to the Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care dated September 19, 2005, regarding 'Co-payment Invoicing and Revenue Collection - Land Ambulance Service'. Received, endorsed and the Regional Chair be requested to forward a letter to the Honourable George Smitherman, Minister of Health and Long-Term Care regarding this matter.10. The Honourable Jean C. Lapierre, P.C., M.P., Minister of Transport dated September 27, 2005 regarding response to correspondence expressing concern relating to the safe installation of child car seats. Received.
11. The Chair extended a welcomed Dr. K. Kurji, Associate Medical Officer of Health to his first official meeting of the Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee.12. The Chair expressed concern regarding the enforcement of the Smoking By-Law and requested that staff investigate infractions of the Smoking By-Law and increase their efforts in this regard.
