The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Committee with the following action.
 
OTHER BUSINESS
 
Delivery of Water and Wastewater Services
 
As a follow-up to consideration of Clause 1, the Committee discussed reviewing the feasibility of moving towards a one-tier system for the delivery of water and wastewater services. The Chief Administrative Officer indicated that staff would provide a report to the Committee on the legislation and current practices, including costs of service delivery in each of the local municipalities, by October 2011.
 
2012 Budget Process
 
As a follow-up to comments made during consideration of the 2011 Budget, the Committee discussed potential revisions to the budget process, including whether there is a need for a program review as part of the 2012 Budget process. The Committee indicated that a program review is not needed but there is a need for more information on benchmarking, performance indicators and scorecards. The Chief Administrative Officer will be submitting a report on the 2012 Budget process to the June 9, 2011 meeting of the Committee.

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:30 a.m. to consider the following:

3. Private Attachment � Report No. 11 of the Commissioner of Corporate Services � Expropriation Settlement, vivaNEXT � Davis Drive (D1), Project 90991, Town of Newmarket - Land Acquisition

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 11:31 a.m. Private Items 1 to 3 were received as part of Clauses 9 to 11 respectively.
