COMMUNICATIONS

2. Ms. P. L. Barrie, Municipal Clerk, Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, dated February 2, 2011, regarding Durham York Residual Waste Project Energy From Waste Advisory Committee. Received.

3. Copy of letter sent from Mr. G. Anello, Manager of Waste Planning and Technical Services, Durham Region and Mr. D. Gordon, Manager, Waste Management Program Planning and Policy, Region of York, dated March 18, 2011, to the Ministry of the Environment and current EFWA committee members regarding Durham/York Energy from Waste Project, Energy from Waste Advisory Committee (EFWAC) Meeting #2. OTHER BUSINESS

9. The Committee recommended moving the June 8, 2011 Environmental Services Committee meeting to Thursday, June 16, 2011.

8  PRIVATE SESSION

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:36 a.m. to consider the following:

1. Private Presentation - Source Separated Organic Waste Processing Facility Update by Daniel Kostopoulos, Director, Capital Planning and Delivery, Environmental Services and Laura McDowell, Director, Environmental Promotion and Protection, Environmental Services � Land Acquisition and Security of Municipal Property

2. Source Separated Organic Waste Processing Facility Design, Build and Operate Request for Proposals � Project 71335 - Land Acquisition and Security of Municipal Property

The Committee resumed in public session at 12:30 p.m.  The Committee received Item 1 and its recommendations on Item 2 will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its April 21, 2011 Private Session.

The Environmental Services Committee adjourned at 12:31 p.m.
