The Environmental Services Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Environmental Services Committee with the following action:

1. The Environmental Services Committee elected Regional Councillor Spatafora as Chair and Regional Councillor Wheeler as Vice Chair for the year 2013.

COMMUNICATION

2. Erin Mahoney, Commissioner, Environmental Services, dated February 13, 2013, regarding '2012 Annual Reports on Source Protection Implementation'. Received.

OTHER BUSINESS

3. Regional Councillor Li advised Committee that he met with the Honourable Dr. Sudarsan Ghosh Dastidar, Minister of Public Works and Environment, West Bengal and Professor Binay K. Dutta, Chairman of West Bengal Pollution Control Board. They expressed an interest in the pellets produced by Dongara and requested more information.

8  PRIVATE SESSION

The Committee resolved into private session at 10:36 a.m. to consider the following:

1. Private Presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Director, Capital Planning and Delivery, regarding 'Source Separated Organics Processing Facility Procurement Update' � Proposed Land Acquisition

2. Source Separated Organic Waste and Processing Facility Procurement Update Project 71335 � Proposed Land Acquisition

The Committee resumed in public session at 11:22 a.m. and received private item 1. Committee's recommendations on the private report will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its February 21, 2013 Private Session.
