7 UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS
The Community Services and Housing Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Community Services and Housing Committee with the following action:
ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR
1. The Community Services and Housing Committee elected Regional Councillor B. Hogg as Chair and Regional Councillor V. Spatafora as Vice-Chair of the Committee for the year 2008.

COMMUNICATION
1. Judith Murray dated January 17, 2008, regarding '2008 funding for the York Region Outreach van'. Received and referred to staff.
OTHER BUSINESS
1. Commissioner J. Simmons advised of a February 6, 2008 announcement from Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration of a call for proposals on Local Immigration Partnership Initiatives. Commissioner Simmons advised that the deadline for proposals is March 7, 2008 and that a report will be presented at Regional Council on February 21, 2008.
PRIVATE SESSION
1. Committee resolved into Private Session at 4:22 p.m. to consider a Private Report of the Commissioner of Community and Health Services, "Receivership of Housing Project" � security of the property of the municipality.
Committee returned to Open Session at 4:44 p.m. with no report.
The Community Services and Housing Committee adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
