1. Dr. Karim Kurji, Medical Officer of Health, dated May 11, 2011, regarding 'Amendments to the Health Protection and Promotion Act to Strengthen Public Health Emergency Response' Received.
2. Christie Abramovic, Events Coordinator, Ontario Municipal Social Services Association, dated May 9, 2011, regarding '2011 Learning Symposium and 61st Annual General Meeting' Received.
OTHER BUSINESS
Second Suites
3. The Committee requested that staff provide a verbal update at the next Community and Health Services Committee meeting regarding the legislation pertaining to second suites.
9 PRIVATE SESSION
The Committee resolved into private session at 2:31 p.m. to consider the following:
1. Private Report of the Commissioner of Community and Health Services � Women's Shelter Development Update � a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land
The Committee resumed in public session at 2:46 p.m. with no report out. The Committee's recommendations on item 1 will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its May 19, 2011 Private Session.
