OTHER BUSINESS
1. The Committee recommends the appointment of citizen member Margaret Gaukel as Vice Chair of the York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee, citizen member Frank Maggisano as Vice Chair of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Sub-Committee (AODA) and citizen member Cindy Gorlewski as a member of the AODA Sub-Committee.
2. The Committee recommends the approval of the following 2011 meeting schedule for the Accessibility Advisory Committee:

5. Aisha Saintiche, Senior Program Analyst, ODA, Community and Health Services, regarding 'Update on the Development of the 2011/2012 Accessibility Plan' Received.
6. Lois Davies, Program Manager, ODA/AODA, Community and Health Services, regarding 'Actioning Accessibility Through Customer Service Forum' Received.
7. The Committee was advised of an event, sponsored by the Canadian Hearing Society and the United Way of York Region, on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Alexander Mackenzie High School in Richmond Hill from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. called 'Sharing Our Strengths'.
8. The Committee was advised of an event which will be hosted by the East Gwillimbury Accessibility Advisory Committee, on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Civic Centre in Sharon from 9 a.m. to 12 noon with guest speaker David Lepofsky.
9. The Committee was advised of an event which will be hosted by the Canadian Hearing Society, York Region on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Aurora Public Library from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. called 'Audism'.
10. The next meeting of the York Region Accessibility Advisory Committee is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 4 p.m.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
