The Transit Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transit Committee with the following action:

 

PRESENTATIONS

 

1. Nathalie Thivierge, Acting Manager, Marketing & Customer Services was scheduled to make a presentation regarding the 'York Region Transit/York Rapid Transit Plan 2005 Marketing Plan.'  Committee deferred the presentation to a future Transit Committee meeting.

 

 

COMMUNICATIONS

 

2. Roger Anderson, Co-Chair of the GTAH Mayors and Regional Chairs Group, dated October 8, 2004, forwarding a resolution regarding the 75/25 Fuel Tax allocation formula.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

3. Elma Stevenson, Committee Co-ordinator, Regional Clerk's Office, dated November 4, 2004 forwarding a Memorandum regarding 'York Region Transit � Markham Stouffville Hospital � Temporary Bus Loop'.  Committee received the above-noted communication, E-mail dated November 11, 2004 from Town of Markham Councillor Jack Heath, aerial photograph of the subject lands and referred the matter to Staff for further report to the December 9, 2004 Transit Committee meeting.

 

4. Chris Somerville, Town Clerk, Township of King dated October 27, 2004 forwarding a motion requesting that York Region Transit consider re-routing the Seneca College bus to include the King City Area.  Received and referred to Staff.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

5. Irene McNeil, Manager, Service Planning presented the updated 2004 Ridership Summary and Monthly Call Centre Statistics. Received.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

6. Committee resolved into Private Session at 4:45 p.m. to consider a legal matter and resumed at 5:29 p.m. with no report.

 

 

The Transit Committee adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
