The Transit Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transit Committee with the following action:

 

 

APPOINTMENT OF ACTING CHAIR

 

1. Mayor Barrow was appointed Acting Chair for the Transit Committee meeting of September 11, 2008.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

 

2. Alok Mukherjee, Chair, Toronto Police Services Board, dated June 24, 2008, regarding 'Status Report � York Region Transit Request for Special Constable Appointment within the City of Toronto'.  Received and recommended that this correspondence be referred to the Police Services Board for consideration at its meeting of September 24, 2008.

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:32 a.m. to consider the following:

 

3. Private Report and Presentation of the Commissioner of Transportation Services

� York Region Transit, Co-ordinated Transit Street Furniture Program Update

� Security of Municipal Property

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 12:02 p.m. with no report out.

 

 

The Transit Committee adjourned at 12:03 p.m.
