The Transit Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Transit Committee with the following action:
 
DEPUTATIONS
1. Ms D. Carrington, Ms B. Grudzinski and Mr. S. Marrelli, residents of Ellery Drive, Richmond Hill, regarding the petition on behalf of Ellery Drive residents expressing concerns relating to Mill Pond GO Shuttle 240.
Communication from Ms D. Carrington, resident, Ellery Drive, Richmond Hill, dated May 28, 2004, forwarding petition on behalf of Ellery Drive residents expressing concerns relating to Mill Pond GO Shuttle 240.
 
Communication from Joseph Jiminez, resident, Richmond Hill, dated June 9, 2004, forwarding comments in support of Mill Pond GO Shuttle 240.
Received and referred to staff for review and preparation of a report for consideration by the Transit Committee at its September, 2004 meeting.
 
COMMUNICATIONS
1. Emil Kolb, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer, The Regional Municipality of Peel, dated May 25, 2004, regarding 'Notice of Motion from Councillor Pat Saito Regarding Funding of GO Transit'. Received and referred to staff for report back
 
 
3. John Mazzella and Family, resident, Woodbridge, dated June 11, 2004, forwarding request for review of cross boundary trips for specialized transit. Received and referred to staff for report back, with direction that staff write to the Mazzella family to advise them of this action.
 
PRESENTATION
1. Gordon Nevison, The Nevison Group Inc. and Malcolm Shemmans, BET Services Inc. regarding a proposed hybrid bus demonstration project.  Received and referred to staff for report back in September, 2004 and that, in the interim, authority be delegated to the Regional Chair and Chief Administrative Officer to submit the necessary applications for this program, if deemed appropriate.
 
2. Dean Foerter, Gee Jeffery Partners regarding the YRT Marketing Plan Discovery Phase. Referred to the September, 2004 Transit Committee meeting.
 
OTHER BUSINESS
1. York Region Transit - 2004 Ridership Summary. Received
 
2. York Region Transit - Monthly Call Centre Statistics. Received
