The Solid Waste Management Committee began its meeting at 9:10 a.m. on October 19, 2005.

The Solid Waste Management Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Solid Waste Management Committee with the following action:

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

1. Committee was advised of the following appointments to the Durham/York Residual Waste EA Joint Management Group: Mayor Taylor, Regional Councillor Heath, Regional Councillor Wheeler, Regional Councillor Ferri. The public appointments are Sue Perrella, Maple, Ian M. Gray, Newmarket and Brent

Mersey, Thornhill.

 

2. Committee requested staff report back regarding a combined Regional/Local Municipal solid waste strategy and that any related costs be considered in the 2006 Solid Waste Management budget discussions.

 

The Solid Waste Management Committee adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
