It was moved by Regional Chair B. Fisch, seconded by Regional Councillor V. Spatafora that the Minutes of the Board of Directors of Housing York Inc. meeting of June 16, 2011 be confirmed, which was Carried.

11-28   Mid-Year Financial Status Report

 

A Report of the General Manager and Treasurer dated August 16, 2011 was presented recommending that:

 

1. The Board approve an amendment to the 2011 Budget, a total expenditure budget of $24,424,000, to reflect the ownership and operation of the Thornhill Green property, effective March 1, 2011.

 

It was moved by Regional Councillor G. Rosati, seconded by Regional Councillor B. Hogg that the foregoing report be adopted, which was Carried.

 

 

11-29   Tender Awards Report � April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011

 

A Report of the Treasurer dated August 16, 2011 was presented recommending that:

 

1. This report be received for information.

 

It was moved by Regional Councillor G. Rosati, seconded by Regional Councillor J. Taylor that the foregoing report be adopted, which was Carried.

 

Other Business

 

11-30  

The Board discussed the market rent apartments for seniors that are being advertised in new apartment buildings available in the fall of 2011 in King City and Vaughan.

 

For a future Housing York Inc. Board meeting agenda item pertaining to market rent apartments, the Board requested that staff provide statistical information on the value of providing market rent units.

 

           

There being no further business, the Board adjourned at 3:17 p.m.
