Opalick, Executive Correspondence Officer, on behalf of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, Office of the Prime Minister, March 6, 2007, regarding a resolution passed by the Council of the Regional Municipality of York in support of the Senate of Canada motion to make Canada smoke-free in all workplaces and public spaces under federal jurisdiction. Received.

 

2. Jim Watson, MPP, Minister, Ministry of Health Promotion, March 9, 2007, extending sincere congratulations to the Regional Municipality of York for the ongoing support of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act and tobacco control in the communities. Received.

 

3. Wendy Hamlin, Clerk, Municipality of Shuniah, April 11, 2007, forwarding a Council Resolution from their meeting of April 10, 2007, regarding the recommendations of the Trans Fat Task Force. Received.

 

4. Paul W. McCue, Senior Public Health Inspector, Environmental Health and Toxicology, Food Safety and Safe Water Unit, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Infectious Diseases Branch, February 8, 2007, regarding a proposal for the transfer of responsibility, and oversight for small drinking-water systems. Received.
