1. Peter Miasek, Chairperson, Preserve 16th Committee, January 15, 2008, regarding 'Request for Health Impact Study of the Widening of 16th Avenue'. Received and referred to Dr. Kurji for response.

 

2. Agenda for Board of Health Section General Meeting � February 7, 2008. Received.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

1. Committee recommended that Regional Chair Fisch, subsequent to a review of current Provincial funding levels for Emergency Medical Services in other municipalities, be requested to communicate to the Province of Ontario a reminder of its commitment to be a full funding partner in this program.

 

2. Committee requested staff to prepare a report regarding the current challenges facing Emergency Medical Services service delivery, focussing on off-load delays and including experiences and initiatives in other jurisdictions.

 

 

The Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee adjourned at 4:07 p.m.
