The Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee with the following action:

 

 

ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR

 

1. The Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee elected Regional Councillor J. Frustaglio and Regional Councillor B. Hogg as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively for the year 2005.

 

 

PRESENTATIONS

 

1. Marilyn Woolhead, Director of Business Services regarding '2005 Health Services Operating Budget'.

 

Committee received the presentation and recommended that the 2005 Business Plan and Budget for the Health and Emergency Medical Services Department be referred to the January 27, 2005 Council Workshop for further discussion.

 

2. Dr. Helena Jaczek, Commissioner of Health Services and Medical Officer of Health regarding 'Healthy Weights, Healthy Lives - Report of the Chief Medical Officer of Health. Received with thanks

OTHER BUSINESS

 

Committee Chair J. Frustaglio advised the Committee that Manuela Di Re, Solicitor to the Health Services Department has accepted a position with the Information and Privacy Commission. Chair Frustaglio thanked Ms Di Re for her service to the Region and wished her success in her new position.

 

 

The Health and Emergency Medical Services Committee adjourned at 3:37 p.m.
