COMMUNICATIONS
1. Kathy Stranks, Manager, Chair and CAO's Office, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, August 27, 2008, forwarding a resolution adopted at its meeting on July 25, 2008, regarding the Oak Ridges Moraine Foundation. Received and recommended that Council support the request to the

Connie Phillipson, Executive Director, York Regional Police Services Board, September 25, 2008, forwarding a report received by the York Regional Police Services Board at its meeting on September 24, 2008, regarding the Repayment of the Interim Financing for the Community Safety Village of York Region.
Received and recommended that congratulations be extended to Police Chief La Barge and his staff on the repayment of the loan and the success of the
3. Connie Phillipson, Executive Director, York Regional Police Services Board, September 25, 2008, forwarding a report received by the York Regional Police Services Board at its meeting on September 24, 2008, regarding the Investigative Services and Support Services Facility. Received and recommended that:
1. approval be given for the release of the construction tender with an estimated hard construction cost of $65,600,000 plus applicable taxes; and
2. the Regional Chairman and Regional Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement with the successful bidder, subject to the approval of the Regional Solicitor as to form and content.
OTHER BUSINESS
4. Development Charges
The Commissioner of Finance was asked to provide a report to the Committee's meeting of November 6, 2008 on the Premier of Ontario's recent announcement to BILD regarding proposed changes to the Development Charges Act.
5. Electronic Meeting Requests
The Regional Clerk was requested to provide electronic meeting requests to all Members of Council and their Assistants who want them for all 2009 Council meetings, Council workshops and meetings of Committees on which the Member sits.
PRIVATE SESSION
6. Private Report of the Commissioner of Finance and Regional Solicitor � Development Charge Complaint by Nancy Tenaglia � Solicitor-Client
The Committee resolved in private session at 9:58 a.m. and resumed in public session at 10:32 a.m. with no report out. Its recommendation on the above matter will be considered by Regional Council at its Private Session of October 23, 2008.
The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned its meeting at 10:40 a.m.
