The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

 

1. AMO, May 5, 2010, regarding Bill 16 - Proposed Transfer of OHIP and Related Costs to Municipalities. Receive and support the position of AMO, and if the Province continues with its position in Bill 16, the Regional Chair forward a letter to AMO, the Premier of Ontario and Provincial Treasurer and local MPP's.

(Regional Clerk's Note:  AMO advised the Region later on May 6, 2010 that the Province has now withdrawn the proposed changes to Bill 16.)

 

 

PRIVATE SESSION

 

The Committee resolved into private session at 11:38 a.m. to consider the following:

 

1. Private Report of the Commissioner of Corporate Services - Acquisition of Land, Viva Operations & Maintenance Facility, Town of Richmond Hill - Acquisition of Land.

 

The Committee resumed in public session at 11:39 a.m. with no report out.  The Committee's recommendation on the above matter will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its May 20, 2010 Private Session.

 

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned its meeting at 11:39 a.m.
