5  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Finance and Administration Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Finance and Administration Committee with the following action:

 

PRESENTATIONS

 

1.  Sandra Cartwright, Commissioner of Finance, regarding 2005 Budget Up-date and projected timelines for approvals. Received. Committee requested further background information on the calculation of pooling costs and how they affect the Region's budget.

 

2.  Dr. Helena Jaczek, Commissioner and Medical Officer of Health Services, regarding Tracking Performance�Health Services Department Public Health Branch. Committee was also presented with detailed cost summary sheets for each public health program. Received. Committee requested further analysis on comparative compliance rates and per capita costs using the most recent data.

 

3.  Jim Davidson, Commissioner of Corporate Services and Karen Close, Director of Human Resource Services, regarding Elimination of Mandatory Retirement. Committee was also presented an Executive Summary from the Regional and Single Tier Municipal Human Resources Group. Received.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

4.  Sandra Cartwright, Commissioner of Finance and Regional Treasurer, October 6, 2004 providing a list of Incomplete Projects as of June 30, 2004, as requested at the meeting of the Committee held September 9, 2004. Received.

 

 

At 10:08 a.m. the Finance and Administration Committee resolved into Private Session to consider a legal matter and resumed in open session at 10:55 a.m. with no report.

 

The Finance and Administration Committee adjourned at 10:56 a.m.
