The Community and Health Services Committee advises Council of the following matters having been considered by the Community and Health Services Committee with the following action:

OTHER BUSINESS

1. Rescheduling of Community and Health Services Committee June 2011 Meeting

The Committee recommended rescheduling the Community and Health Services Committee meeting from June 8, 2011 to Thursday, June 16, 2011.

2. York Region 2011 Census Awareness Initiative

The Commissioner of Community and Health Services advised the Committee of the joint staff report on the April 6, 2011 Planning and Economic Development Committee agenda from the Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development and the Commissioner of Community and Health Services regarding the York Region 2011 Census Awareness Initiative.

3. Update � Committee Proceedings Clause in Committee Reports

The Committee discussed indicating "no further business" under the "Update � Committee Proceedings" clause in Committee Reports, in the cases when there is nothing additional to report, rather than eliminating the clause.  This was referred to the Regional Clerk for consideration for future reports.

9  PRIVATE SESSION

The Committee resolved into private session at 1:54 p.m. to consider the following:

1. Private Report of the Commissioner of Community and Health Services � Youth Housing Proposal, Town of Richmond Hill � A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the Region

The Committee resumed in public session at 2:09 p.m. with no report out.  The Committee's recommendations on item 1 will be forwarded to Council for consideration at its April 21, 2011 Private Session.

The Community and Health Services Committee adjourned at 2:09 p.m.
