The Accessibility Advisory Committee began its meeting at 3:36 p.m. on November 29, 2006.

 

 

1  UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS

 

The Accessibility Advisory Committee advises the Community Services and Housing Committee of the following matters having been considered by the Accessibility Advisory Committee with the following action:

 

 

PRESENTATIONS TO COMMITTEE MEMBERS

 

1. Regional Chair B. Fisch, assisted by Commissioner J. Simmons presented Certificates of Appreciation to all Committee members.

 

 

PRESENTATIONS OF DRAFT 2007 ACCESSIBILITY PLANS

2. Val Sequeira, Manager, Business Information Systems Development, Business Planning and Budgets Branch, Finance Department. Received.

 

3. Sylvia Patterson, Director, Housing Services Branch, Community Services and Housing Department. Received.

5. Eric Gupta, Senior Transportation Specialist, Planning and Development Services Department. Received.

 

6. York Regional Police (Ratification from November 16, 2006 meeting). Received.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

 

7. Memorandum dated November 27, 2006 from Brian Drew, Manager, Mobility Plus regarding the Draft Mobility Plus Application Form.

 

Committee requested that a letter be sent to York Region Transit from the Accessibility Advisory Committee to express its disappointment at the delay in circulating the Draft Mobility Plus Application Form to the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

 

Members were encouraged to submit their comments to York Region Transit directly regarding the Draft form.

 

 

OTHER BUSINESS

 

8. Committee members were advised that application packages for re-appointment to the Accessibility Advisory Committee will be forwarded to all members.

 

 

The Accessibility Advisory Committee adjourned at 5:35 p.m.
