The Accessibility Advisory Committee began its meeting at 4:15 p.m. on November 16, 2006.
1 UPDATE - COMMITTEE PROCEEDINGS
The Accessibility Advisory Committee advises the Community Services and Housing Committee of the following matters having been considered by the Accessibility Advisory Committee with the following action:
COMMITTEE RESIGNATIONS
1. E-mail from Robert Hunn dated October 18, 2006 advising of his resignation from the Accessibility Advisory Committee. Received.
2. E-mail from Barbara Caiger dated November 14, 2006 advising of her resignation from the Accessibility Advisory Committee. Received.
PRESENTATIONS OF DRAFT 2007 ACCESSIBILITY PLANS
3. Lisa Gonsalves, Senior Program Manager ODA, Community Services and Housing Department, "Regional Overview". Received.
4. Draft Accessibility Plan -
5. Marc Gallant, Senior Multi Media Specialist, Corporate Communications. Received.
6. Barry Crowe, Director, Property Services, Property Services Branch, Corporate Services Department. Received.
Committee recommends to Regional Council that:
1. When planning new building construction or renovation to existing facilities, the Region of York include provisions for scooters and other mobility devices, and
2. The Regional Chair be requested to send a letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing requesting that any amendments to the

OTHER BUSINESS
9. Update from Lisa Gonsalves, Senior Program Manager, ODA on the Standards Development Process � Public consultation on the proposed Customer Service Standards. Received.
10. Committee Chair W. Morley congratulated Regional Councillors J. Frustaglio and D. Wheeler on their re-election to Council.
11. Committee was reminded of the revised start time of 3:30 p.m. for the November 29, 2006 Committee meeting.
