Southbound lane restrictions in effect on Yonge Street in Thornhill for emergency utility repairs

Closure in effect throughout weekend
The Regional Municipality of York has closed two southbound lanes on Yonge Street in Thornhill, between Clark Avenue and Steeles Avenue, to allow Bell Canada to conduct emergency repairs beneath the road.
 
Lane restrictions will be in effect throughout the weekend. Electronic message signs will be installed to direct motorists.

Motorists are asked to reduce speed through the construction area and consider using Bathurst Street to the west or Bayview Avenue to the east as alternate routes.
