YRT/Viva and Mobility Plus services will observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.
YRT/Viva is pleased to again offer free travel for war veterans plus one companion on Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 11.
Veterans and companions are free to travel all day, system-wide without charge. Veterans can identify themselves to YRT/Viva and Mobility Plus operators by showing any of the following items: uniforms, medals, berets, blazers, an identification card or service papers.
The immediate family of a deceased veteran may also ride free by carrying something that identifies their relationship to the deceased veteran, such as an identification card or service papers.
At 11 a.m. on November 11, all YRT/Viva and Mobility Plus services will pull over to the curb to observe two minutes of silence and reflect on the sacrifices made by Canadians for peace.
