The Regional Municipality of York releases 2011 Annual Report

Report features review of last year’s financial reports and achievements
NEWMARKET - The Regional Municipality of York today released its 2011 Annual Report which highlights the Region’s financial performance and achievements of its programs and services.

“The 2011 Annual Report showcases York Region’s many accomplishments from the past year,” said York Region Chairman and CEO Bill Fisch. “The report is a comprehensive testament to the excellence of the programs and services offered by the Region.”

“York Region’s financial policies ensure effective management of the Region’s financial resources,” said Town of Richmond Hill Mayor David Barrow, Chair of the Region’s Finance and Administration Committee. “The Region diligently maintains effective business practices and the Annual Report illustrates that commitment.”
Details regarding the goals and accomplishments of each department are included in the report, such as the Region’s continued AAA Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s Investors Service credit rating as well as a separate Housing York Inc. Annual Report insert at the back of the document.
“York Regional staff work together across all departments to deliver and sustain exceptional programs and services to York Region residents,” said York Region Chief Administrative Officer Bruce Macgregor. “I would like to commend and thank Regional staff for their continued commitment to the Region.”
Hard copies of the 2011 Annual Report are available at the Information Kiosk in the York Region Administrative Centre, 17250 Yonge Street, in the Town of Newmarket as well as at the York Region South Services Centre, 50 High Tech Road, in the Town of Richmond Hill.
